How to treat fever
Fever is a symptom of another condition or disease. Fever can occur when your body is fighting an infection, such as influenza. Some of the common symptoms associated with fever include sweating, headache, muscle pain, dehydration, weakness, mild tremor and loss of appetite.
Fever is a good thing and usually disappears within a few days. But if the fever is making you uncomfortable, you can try some simple and natural home remedies to cool the body down and feel better.
Home remedies for fever:
Basil is an effective way to reduce fever grass. This herb is as effective as many types of antibiotics on the market. Its healing properties help to reduce fever very quickly.
Boil together 20 basil leaves and a teaspoon of chopped ginger in a cup of water until the solution gets reduced to half. Add a little honey and drink this tea two or three times a day for three days.
Soak a wash cloth in cold tap water, drain excess water and sponge areas such as armpits, feet, hands and groin to reduce the temperature.
The warm nature of Garlic may also lower a high fever by promoting sweating. It also helps eliminate toxins from the body and speed recovery.
Finely chop a clove of garlic and add it to a cup of hot water. Let stand for 10 minutes, strain and drink slowly. Drink this twice a day and you will feel much better the next day.
Apple cider vinegar
Apple cider vinegar is another very cheap and very effective remedy for fever. It helps reduce fever quickly because the acid present in it contributes to drawing heat away from the skin.

Add a tablespoon of crushed mint leaves in a cup of hot water. Allow to soak for 10 minutes, strain and then add a little honey. Drink this soothing tea three or four times a day for rapid recovery.
Turmeric has also been shown to be an excellent home remedy for fever. The chemical compound called curcumin in turmeric has potent antiviral, antifungal, antibacterial and antioxidant. It helps the immune system fight off any infection. It will also contribute to preventing complications and reduce the duration of fever.
Mix half a teaspoon of turmeric and a quarter teaspoon of black pepper powder in a cup of warm milk.
Take this mixture twice a day to get rid of the fever.
